No Lollapalooza Tickets? No Problem -- These Chicago Festivals Rock Just As Hard

So you did not get tickets to Lollapalooza. It was not even a "you snooze; you lose” situation - those passes were sold out in minutes, not hours. Fortunately, Chicago has much more to offer in the way of live music festivals. Here are five of the music festivals driven neighborhood favorites that will not give her back to the door:

Do Division Street Fest




undoubtedly, the area of Wicker Park / Bucktown is ideal for the great festivals of music. First: Do Division 8th Division Street. Green Music Fest



Ecological Wicker Park Festival highlights land lovers in all of us. With vendor booths with the environment and recycling containers garbage cans along the streets, this is one fest that aims to reduce its carbon footprint. Headliners this year are indie -rock Guided by Voices and features more psychedelic folk -rock the soil and sun. Tip: If you're bringing water from your home, make sure that you are using a reusable container. Plastic bottles are not allowed in the festival. June 21 and 22. Square Roots Festival

Don musical collective of the neighborhood, the Old Town School of Folk Music , summer block party of Lincoln Square is already promising over 60 live performances during his three-day race . Spread over two stages; expect an eclectic mix of world music, highlights soul, jazz standards, and folk strummers, drum circles and more. Surrounding all are dance parties, jam sessions open, enjoyable activities for children and food from some of the most beloved neighborhood restaurants. Tip: Do not miss the drinks. Wicker Park Fest



Again, Wicker Park is ideal for outdoor music live instead.
