Here are some Details we gathered about Loyola’s Institute of Environmental Sustainability:
Lollapalooza Music Festival will be clearing the land from garbage to minimize the environmental effect. The Divert it! Team is responsible for all the work regarding Composting system. The team will be assigned specific duties on their appointed stations, they’ll be responsible for duties such as helping patron in putting their junk into correct bins of waste, recyclables and compostable. They’ll also liable to educate fans about the Lollapalooza Music Festival’s environmental initiatives.
Loyola has been chosen again to join hands with Lollapalooza, event organizers and C3 Productions to help in sustainability efforts on all four days of music festival. This will give Loyola Students an excuse to access the festival in between helping out with recycling and composting work.
All members of Divert it! Team will work for four hours on pay plus will have the access to music Lollapalooza music festival. There will be three different shifts early, midday and late decided by Loyola and C3 staff members. Team members can select a time of their choice but then they’ll be no shifts changes, one person will work on one shift for all four days.
Hiring preferences will be made by:
1. Availability
2. Prior Sustainability Service
3. Interest in advancing sustainability.
